Mike and Jane of Success had just installed a low water usage pool and needed a deck that wouldn’t require the usual oiling and sealing. He loved the breezy lifestyle that decking brings but didn’t want to put in the time to maintain it. We had the answer for him Horizon (Fiberon) decking. With the advance in technology of wood-alternate decking you can relax on your deck without the usual time taken to maintain a timber deck.

The home owner had a huge choice of composite decking from Decking Perth all displayed in Balcatta or larger areas around Perth. They decided on Horizon decking (Fiberon) in the Rosewood colour because it was a dark shade. Another reason this composite/timber decking was chosen was because of the long term cost savings with composite decking.

Decking Perth is the most dependable composite decking conceiver and builder in WA. With them on the job the owner could sit back and relax knowing that the correct installation methods were being used and that the warranties given by the manufacturer (Fiberon) of the composite decking material would not be void. Also all the framework was according to Australia Timber Framing Code 1684. The minimum corrosion protection for their fixings we use is galvanised. Then working up from there with new to Stainless Steel.

Our crews are very polite and are aware that in this project the family still live in the house as we build their new decking area. All the mess was cleaned up and the family let loose on their new decking area. Mike and Jane were relaxed because they had picked Horizon Decking (Fiberon) and Decking Perth for the building. The composite/timber decking result: less work and more life.

A part of the capping was missing at one end of the bench seat. A small oversight on our behalf, but once we went back to rectify Mike and Jane were especially please with Decking Perth.
