Recently, CorrectDeck decking and related products was bought (rescued) by GAF Decking Systems family, a part of Building Materials Corporation of America which is one of the largest building material manufacturers in North America.
GAF was founded in 1886, and has grown to nearly $3 billion in sales, mainly in the roofing material area with more than 1 in 3 American residential property owners choosing GAF for their roofing project . Althought the decking is only a part of this huge company, it is good to know it is backed by a longstanding and reputable, solid group.
CorrectDeck was introduced in 1999 with the goal of manufacturing technically superior, durable and sustainable composite building products for outdoor living. Although CorrectDeck manufacturer many products, including CorrectDeck, CorrectDeck CX, Dimensional Composite Lumber (DCL with CX Technology) and RapidRail, Australian’s has access to only CorrectDeck CX®. This is fine as this particular product is far supiror to the orginal, non-capped product.
All CorrectDeck products are made from a patented wood fiber-polypropylene formulation, in addition to having superior quality, CorrectDeck has also been recognized for its environmentally friendly manufacturing processes including a two-time win of an American’s Governor’s Waste Reduction Award.
CorrectDeck products were the first polypropylene based composite decking products, and the CX decking continues to perform exceptional well. As you would expect for a level 3 capped composite.
